Welcome to my psychotherapy and consultation private practice.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has practiced in both Chicago and Seattle for over 30 years.

Education: B.A. in Psychology University of Pennsylvania 1982, Ph.D in Clinical Psychology Northwestern University in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences 1990, APA-accredited predoctoral internship Michael Reese Hospital & Medical Center 1991. Further clinical training was done at The Family Institute of Chicago. Today, I am happy to hold a private practice on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle. In addition to my practice, I am an associate clinical faculty member at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis.

My therapeutic orientation encourages me to see people as unique individuals who have particular strengths. While building on these strengths, we focus on issues in their past and current relationships that are causing difficulties. Within the context of an empathic and confidential relationship, psychological growth and comfort are possible.

I provide brief, problem-centered and long-term psychotherapy for adults. My work draws from psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioral, and family systems approaches. Specialties include depression, anxiety, separation & loss, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), sexual abuse, relationships conflicts, intimacy issues, parenting, and life transitions.
